Hi Potter,
There's very little in Western NY. A member here is building a business in partnership with a farmer outside Attica, keep an eye on FlexRock 4x4. We've had a few club members events there, and he's hosted a couple other clubs as well.
We've recently lost Whispering Pines. There are a couple other small spots with occasional events, Tuckers offroad hosts things once or twice a year, I think that's Hornell NY and usually invitational; Back Country 4x4 hosts events on their club property open to the public 3-4 times a year in Bath NY; and there are a few local mudbogs that I avoid like the plague. Too much drinking and driving for my taste.
Other than that, we usually do travel hundreds of miles to central PA for wheeling. AOAA and Rausch Creek primarily.

Poland, NY is not too far from there. They have a large event in July. We have listed a bunch of ny events on TrueBogger.com in the calendar section.
