this would work good for me. I could probably take Friday off. A trailer spot would be awesome!

I think Harrison will be there that weekend with SIS people.

i am thinking i might tow down for this one with 1-3 spaces depending on what thing is hooked to my truck.  125$ for fuel will get you on a trailer there and back per truck

Parking brake release line, "Lucas Girling" system.  Instead of air to release rear chambers, it uses hydraulic fluid.

I know it has juice brakes - but it uses an air brake-like ebrake? weird.

ill be leaving Thursday around 5, and it is looking like i will just be towing down my own pile with the enclosed trailer.  I have to deliver some propane parts in Bath and return a motor closer to the park on the way also.   Not looking like borrowing the other big trailer is in the cards for this trip, sorry guys!

Out of all the people I know that are going to be there this weekend, there will pry be about 4 or 5 different groups out and about so I'm sort of planning to just bounce around.

Good trip, no significant breakage for the TJs, LJ, YJ, and Tracker.  Park was pretty busy Saturday.  Mostly blues with some purple and black sprinkled in.  Spencer and Gif had major equipment issues.

Saturday evening meal of soup (Hawker), chili (smike), desserts (Sara, Liz, and Hawker), cheese, chips, dip, cookies.  I've never eaten so well and so much at Rausch Creek!

Thanks everyone for making it a great weekend!  "Too bad - so sad" for all who didn't make it 'cause you missed out!  ;)

my jeep performed awesome this weekend.. except the $5 shocks.. 3 out of 4 of the top stud bushings vacated by about 2:30 Saturday afternoon.  then had to put up with constant thud-thud as the shock went up and down..  really think I need new rear shocks and probably new springs, it was very rough.
Title: Re: Rausch Creek 6/23, 24
Post by: smichaelR22 on June 25, 2012, 07:52:02 AM
really wonder if they were over tightened during install and cracked.   If you want a quick fix, im sure i have a ton of stock bushings from shocks i have cut out, i can take a look in the pile.

I also have a set of springs still :)

Had a good time bumping (slamming?) my LJ on the rocks.  Relatively new to those big boulders -- point rocky thingies.  Tore off a front drive shaft boot and bent rear exhaust, but nothing major (hey, it made it home!)  The worst experience, though, was on a flat, green trail and a magic rock jumped out and pushed me off the trail!  Extrication 201 on a newbie trail.  How humiliating!

Food and fellowship was awesome.  Thanks, all, for helping me set up, tear down, and bust rocks!
