Title: SYE upgrade/install
Post by: beanz98 on May 10, 2012, 09:21:31 PM
OK, I have the transfer case out and the SYE kit is staring at me.
On a scale of 1-10 how hard is this upgrade.  I have just finished installing a short arm kit, so "wrench-ability" is good.  Just would like to know how deep the water is before I dive in.  Get my drift?  Thanks in advance for the input.

Honestly I'd only say a 3 or 4 out of 10. The hardest part is just getting the snap rings off, and that is more annoying than it is difficult.

you can definitely do it. i had never seen the inside of a tcase before and mated a 249 and 242 with no problem in a couple hours
