I know this is probably a dumb question but.. can I drive my 05 tj with out problems if i disconnect my front drive-shaft until i get the front drive-shaft replaced, balanced and or repaired ?

Yes.  I've done it a few times.  Disco at the front yoke and tie it up to the frame rail with some wire and you're good-to-go!  Boosts gas mileage a couple of hairs, too!
