BRC NATIONAL ACTION ALERT IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED SUPPORT FOR IMPORTANT LEGISLATION NEEDED!
Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,
The National Monument Designation Transparency and Accountability Act have been introduced in the House and the Senate. This legislation would bring needed reforms and end the abuse of the Antiquities Act. It will ensure public involvement and Congressional oversight over any future Presidential National Monument designation.
Given the past abuses of the Antiquities Act, we believe this legislation is necessary. And given the extensive plans the Obama Administration has already made for future Monuments, it is absolutely vital that the National Monument Designation Transparency and Accountability Act moves in the House and Senate committees this year.
Please help us by adding your name to our petition in support of this bill.

For those of you who live in Tom Reeds district ( NY-29)please go to his web site and share with him your feelings on this issue. Tom supports our efforts to reduce government take overs of land and unreasonable restrictions.

BRC is issuing a National Action Alert regarding a seriously important national issue currently in play in Michigan\'s Huron-Manistee National Forests. The issue may affect how federal agencies implement a well-established recreation management tool, the Recreation Opportunity Spectrum or \"ROS.\"
Michigan based OHV, snowmobile and hunting advocates have done a yeoman\'s job of responding to the threat, but we would like to bring a bit of nationwide pressure to bear.
