Title: I just had to do it.....
Post by: AirDogg on January 02, 2011, 10:44:09 AM
Happy New Year!
Hello to you all! I\'m not a total noob but I am new to this forum. After being 10 years of going through sleepless nights, shakes, cold sweats and the constant Jeep envy, I would have to say that I am totally stoked with the purchase of my Jeep. 2003 TJ Sahara Its still bone stock. I got lucky and with this one, I grabbed it used with about 55k with NO RUST ANY WHERE...
I will be doing some mods in the coming months and will love to join this club.....

Thanks guys......I will definitely make it to the meeting at the end of this month. I hope to have the lift completed by then...I just need to decide on the lift. Any thoughts? I\'m looking to not spend too much the first time around so any thing under $400.00 would be great. Nothing bigger than 3 inches...and she will be a somewhat of a daily. The Rough Country 2.5 is getting great reviews and is priced right...your thoughts?

Welcome!  I just purchased my first off road vehicle in October, \'11 JK Sahara Unlimited.  Only minor mods at this point (magnaflow exhaust, K&N intake, Euro light gaurds all around), and haven\'t done anything fun with it yet except snow play :(, but looking forward to more!

If you actually intend to use the lift I\'d strongly suggest one that includes shocks. If you goneith more than an inch or so of spring spacer your shocks will limit down travel.

Yeah I hear ya...after researching till my eyes were bleeding, I have got it down to a couple all with shocks. But I might just hold off on pulling the trigger till the meeting.
