Each is custom built and uses a GM 4 cyl engine.  Other parts are off of Jeeps and purpose built.

I doubt if we will see many of these on the trails in the near future.

I posted that up on my facebook a couple days ago, saw it in the New York Times.

JP magazine did a write up on the CJ model a few months back. I appreciate the attention to detail along with the modern suspension system. But 79k is way too much money for a production 4x4 in my opinion. Why not spend 79k on a custom built vehicle built to your specs, not a JEEP knock-off. And then you discover that your buddy in the yacht club just bought the exact same vehicle. A true JEEP fan would restore an original.

I agree with you. That kind of coin can get you an extremely ultra capable custom. Check out the picture of the black one with the steel seats. Ouch :)
