Title: Hey everybody
Post by: andrewSC on September 23, 2009, 02:32:40 PM
Hey folks, Just figure i would introduce myself seeing as i would like to do some wheeling in the near future with yall. I\'m from Aldie Virginia and am a 3rd year CS major at RIT ;) Right now i\'m driving my red Dodge ram but after thanksgiving break i\'ll be driving my 79 chevy K20. It\'s got a 383 stroker with a TH350/NP203 setup FF GM 14bolt and 35\" boggers 3\" body lift and i\'m gonna guess a 6\" suspension lift(installed before i bought it). Any other RIT folks on here?

Thanks for the comments everyone! haha yeah it\'s an SRT-10 I try to be as civil as possible when I drive it ;) So I was wondering, seeing as I have a chevy it\'s bound to give me some trouble during the winter and I don\'t know anyone with a garage that\'s local that could fit this truck. Do you fellas go somewhere to work on your trucks in the winter time? Just trying to plan ahead ;)
Thanks,
Andrew

ahahah I know most chevys aren\'t gonna crap out but just some of the stories I\'ve heard make me wonder and I\'d rather be prepared than out cold.. ;) What model of chevy do you have? built?

ahhh haha yeah man the internet doesn\'t translate sarcasm well ;) I was getting a little worried there for a second thought you might have a blown 454 or something :O haha I was driving out towards Chili? right out past the RIT Inn and i saw a orange late 90s? CJ on a trailer with a tarp over it. Had probably 35-37\" tires on it.. You know if it\'s anyone here?

RIT alum and former member of the club for several years...
If you intend on keeping that sweet K20 for a while and keep it in good shape - do not bring it up to New York during the winters. Seeing you\'re a 3rd year at RIT, I\'m sure you know how much salt is dumped on the roads during the winter...
